Vaishnavi Shankar is the Chief Executive Officer of Mirabilis Design. She joined Mirabilis Design in 2005 as the Director of Business Development and became the CEO in 2017. She is also the majority shareholder of the company. Vaishnavi has reset the company operations to develop a new market strategy and refined the focus market and geography. Since then, the company has made substantial improvements in profitability. She has hired specialists for each area of expertise and has moved marketing to an in-house team. She has been responsible for making strategic investment in new product development and for building a new engineering organization across three continents. Vaishnavi has a Mini MBA from Santa Clara University, an MS from Madras University, India and a BS from Stella Maris College, Chennai, India.
Darryl Koivisto, Ph.D., is the Chief Technology Officer and the visionary at Mirabilis Design. Darryl has over 30 years of experience as an Architect, Program Manager and as a modeling expert. Before Mirabilis Design, he held a number of roles with increasing responsibility, and was the Principal Modeling Consultant at Cadence Design Systems (CDS). Prior to CDS, Darryl was Project Manager at Ford Aerospace, where he managed large satellite projects for NASA. He has been a Chip Architect at Signetics (now NXP Semiconductor), and an I/O Architect at Amdahl. Darryl has a DBA from Golden Gate University, an MS from Santa Clara University and a BS from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. Darryl Koivisto runs a blog that discusses challenges and the opportunities in semiconductors, primarily around AI and data center processors.
The founder of Mirabilis Design, Deepak has over two decades of experience in management and marketing of system-level design tools. Prior to establishing Mirabilis Design, he held the reins as Vice President, Business Development at MemCall, a fabless semiconductor company and SpinCircuit, a joint venture of industry leaders Hewlett-Packard, Flextronics and Cadence. He started his career designing network simulators for the US Federal Agencies, and managing discrete-event simulators for Cadence. His extensive experience in product design and marketing stems from his association with the EDA industry in multifaceted roles. An alumnus of University of California, Berkeley with an MBA, Deepak holds a MS in Electronics from Clemson University and a BS in Electronics and Communication from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, India.
