The RAD750 processor in VisualSim is a radiation-hardened CPU based on the PowerPC 750 Instruction Set Architecture (ISA). It provides a detailed model of the RAD750’s execution pipeline, cache and memory hierarchy, interconnects, and power consumption.
This library is especially valuable for space and aerospace applications, where designs must function reliably under cosmic radiation, single-event upsets (SEUs), and harsh thermal environments. By simulating the RAD750 in VisualSim, engineers can validate system performance and fault tolerance long before costly radiation testing in physical labs or flight missions.
