Mirabilis Design has over 55 customers and been used on over 250 projects.
Mirabilis was started in 2003 and we delivered our first product in 2006.
Yes, we are a United States Certified, Economically-Disadvantaged, Woman-Owned, Minority Small Business
VisualSim can be purchased as an annual or perpetual. The annual license includes maintenance, support, all upgrades for the selected features and bug fixes during the license period. The perpetual license is a lifetime ownership of the software. Maintenance must be purchased separately and comes with support, all upgrades for the selected features and bug fixes.
You can buy three separate products from Mirabilis Design- VisualSim Architect, VisualSim Explorer and VisualSim Cloud. The Technology IP is sold as individual items or as a complete package of all the IP. Explorer and Cloud include all the Technology IP in the package.
VisualSim Architect is required for use of the Technology IP and must be purchased as a pre-requisite. The Technology IP can be purchased as a single package of all the components. Alternately, users can select from a long list of Technology IP.
Yes, VisualSim Architect, Explorer and Cloud are separate products. The Technology IP is sold separately to operate on VisualSim Architect. Users of Explorer and Cloud do not need to buy VisualSim Technology IP separately. It is included in the package.
The best way to configure VisualSim Technology IP is to decide whether the corporation works with a large number of technologies. If so, buying the entire Technology IP package is better. If the project requires only a few IP, then buying ala-carte is better. Talk to your Application Specialist to configure your purchase.
VisualSim Power Analyzer is sold as a Technology IP and requires VisualSim Architect. The power feature is integrated into most Technology IP blocks.
Yes, VisualSim can be purchased to use at a site, country or world-wide access.
VisualSim is a platform-independent software package. It can run on Windows, Linux, Mac OS/X and Virtual Machines. Similarly the default license manager can run on all these platforms. We also support FlexLM on 64-bit Linux platform.
Yes, we do have a highly supportive Academic program. The license can be used for teaching, research and student project. It cannot be used on contractual work with governments or companies, or in the development of a commercial product. The package will contain the required number of licenses to accomplish the goals of the Professor.
VisualSim is sold as a software package. If the contract requires computers to run VisualSim, we can provide commercial computers.
Models can be constructed in as little as two weeks for a system model and 2-3 months for a cycle-accurate fully functional model. The modeling effort depends on the level of abstraction, the number of customer components and how much clarity is there on the system architecture.
It depends on your knowledge of the system specification and modeling concepts. Some people can get ramped up with no hand-holding and have a first level model ready in about two week. On the average, it takes about three weeks to get fully conversant on VisualSim.
Mirabilis Design has various levels of training programs. The standard training material, tutorials and demonstration templates are shipped with VisualSim Architect. These can be used for self-study. In addition, we provide an online training and a fully custom training class. The fully custom training class requires three weeks of preparation and is based on the first project. All labs and tutorials are customized for this first projects.
Yes, we provide models of standards, vendor parts and proprietary technology. Please contact your Application Specialist on schedule and pricing.
Yes, we provide a host of services. These include custom model construction, analysis of architectures and, development of a concept to prototype.
VisualSim technology IP is a collection of standards, vendor components and a suite of building blocks for creating fully custom components. Users can create custom models with programming language (Java/C/C++), Script (modeling language and Python), blocks and Finite State Machine.
Most of the Technology IP blocks are shipped with the internals exposed. This enables the designer to modify the IP block and save it as a new block.
Mirabilis Design does not charge any royalty for the IP blocks that are shipped with VisualSim.
Users can import third party IP that are written in a host of languages including C/C++, SystemC, Verilog and Java. Mirabilis Design provides the interface but it is the responsibility of the user to perform the integration.
The primary use of the Technology IP is to design hardware, software, semiconductors and networks. Some of the Technology IP are flexible and can model non-electronic systems including road congestion, supply chain processes and Markoff processes.
VisualSim can accept requirements in the form of a spreadsheet; trace files in ASCII from an existing system and; sensor traffic in XML. VisualSim can export the parameters and reports into csv files, xml files for plotting in gnuplot and trace in vcd and json format for verification.
VisualSim can integrate into all existing design flow. VisualSim accentuates the existing flow with input parameters, specification documents and traces.
VisualSim has over 15 interfaces. Please visit the technology IP section to view the current list of interfaces.
VisualSim uses an XML database. A custom script is required to import and export use cases and traffic information. VisualSim has a co-simulation link with both MatLab and Simulink.
